Game process of Caribbean Stud Poker

caribbean stud poker ante
  • First off, you place one initial bet, the ante. And if you want to play for a progressive jackpot, you can also place your bet in there, but you don't have to. Below on the right, you can change chips. Next, click one time or multiple times on the box that says ‘ante’ to set the value of your bet.
  • The player and the dealer each get five cards. The dealer shows one the five cards. The other four remain closed.
  • Depending on the strength of your hand, and the one open card of the dealer, you decide whether to fold (quit) or call (continue). Calling will cost you double the ante you placed.
  • If you quit, the hand is over and you lose the ante.
  • If you called, the dealer will show you his four remaining cards.

The outcome

caribbean stud poker call or fold
  • The dealer has to qualify with an ace-king or higher. If he doesn’t, you win 1:1 on the money you’ve bet, plus the ante.
  • If the dealer has qualified himself, the cards of the player and the dealer are compared.
  • If the player has a higher hand than the dealer, the player wins and gets a payout based on this hand. Check the table for payouts.
  • If the dealer has a higher hand value, the player loses the ante and the bet.
  • In the rare case of the hand values being exactly equal, the ante and the extra bet will return to the player.

The jackpot

The jackpot is a progressive jackpot. This means that every bet in the game (made by players all over the world) will add up to the jackpot. The jackpot keeps increasing in value, until the jackpot is finally won by some lucky player! Once the jackpot has been won, it will be reset to a standard amount.
